Privacy Policy
Wickabee has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We do not run servers that receive your stories, your photos or your child’s name, and we cannot see what you create. This policy explains that in detail, including the one place where information does leave your device: Apple’s own services.

1. Short version
- There are no Wickabee accounts. You never give us a name, an email or a password to use the app.
- Your library, your child’s photo and every generated book stay in the app’s storage on your device.
- We operate no servers that receive your content, and we have no ability to access, view or recover it.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, attribution SDKs, crash reporting or any tracking technology.
- Story text and artwork are produced by Apple Intelligence, which may run on your device or on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute. That processing is governed by Apple, not by us.
- You are in control: delete a book, clear recent photos, or delete the app to remove everything.
2. Information we do not collect
We want to be precise, because “we value your privacy” means nothing on its own. As the operator of Wickabee, we do not collect, receive, store, sell, share or otherwise process any of the following:
- Your name, your child’s name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Photographs of your child, of companions, or any other images
- The stories, titles, opening lines, themes or worlds you create
- Device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IDFA, IP address or location
- Usage analytics, session data, reading activity, crash reports or diagnostics
- Contacts, calendars, microphone or camera input
Wickabee contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no attribution or A/B-testing SDKs and no social login. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not engage in “targeted advertising”, “profiling” or “cross-context behavioral advertising” as those terms are used in US state privacy laws.
3. What the app stores on your device
Everything Wickabee creates lives in the app’s own storage area on your iPhone or iPad:
- Your library — book text, page structure, titles and accepted illustrations
- The hero photo you choose, and any companion reference photos
- Recent photos — a short local history so you can reuse a photo without picking it again
- Preferences — reading font size and which book you last opened
This information is not transmitted to us. If you use iCloud Backup or an encrypted device backup, a copy of the app’s data may be included in that backup, which is a service you have with Apple and is covered by Apple’s privacy policy rather than ours. Wickabee does not currently sync your library between devices.
4. Apple Intelligence and Image Playground
Wickabee does not operate its own AI service, does not train or host any model, and does not send your content to OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or any other third-party AI provider. Stories are generated using Apple’s Foundation Models framework, and illustrations are created through Apple’s Image Playground. In other words, the processing described in this section is Apple’s, performed under Apple’s terms — Internal Cast LLC is neither the recipient of that data nor able to see it.
Please read this part carefully. Depending on your device, your settings and the complexity of the request, Apple may process a request entirely on your device, or it may send it to Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which runs on Apple’s servers. In that case the request does leave your device — it goes to Apple, never to us. Apple states that Private Cloud Compute data is not retained after the request is fulfilled and is not accessible to Apple. That processing is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy, and we have no control over and no visibility into it.
When you create an illustration, Wickabee opens Apple’s Image Playground interface and supplies a short scene description together with the reference photo you selected. The image is generated and reviewed inside Apple’s interface, and only the image you accept is saved back into your book on your device. We never receive the prompt, the photo or the resulting image.
You can turn Apple Intelligence off at any time in Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri. Wickabee cannot create new stories or artwork without it.
5. Children’s privacy and COPPA
Wickabee is a tool for parents and other adults to create picture books. An adult sets up the story, generates it, reviews it, and decides whether to share the finished book with a child. The app is not designed for a child to operate on their own, contains no chat, no social features, no user-to-user contact, no external links inside the creation flow, no advertising and no purchases.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 — or from anyone of any age — because, as described above, we do not collect personal information at all. Information you enter, including a child’s name, age and photograph, remains on your device and is never transmitted to us. Under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC’s guidance, an operator is not “collecting” personal information merely because an app lets a user interact with information that stays on the device and is never transmitted.
Because we hold no personal information about any child, there is nothing for us to disclose, retain, or delete on request, and no parental consent mechanism is required for us to operate. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information to us directly — for example by emailing our support address — please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
A word to parents about AI. Stories and pictures are generated automatically and can be unpredictable. Wickabee filters the words you enter before they reach the model, and Apple applies its own safety guardrails to what comes back, but no automated filter is perfect. Please read each book and look at each illustration before sharing it with your child. You remain in control of what your child sees.
6. If you email us
The one way we may receive personal information is if you choose to contact us. If you email team@internalcast.com, we will receive your email address and whatever you put in the message, through our email provider. We use it only to answer you, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we delete support correspondence when it is no longer needed for support or legal recordkeeping. Please do not send us photographs of children or other sensitive material — we do not need it to help you.
7. This website
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no trackers, no social widgets and no advertising pixels, and no third-party fonts or scripts are loaded from other domains.
The site is served by our hosting provider, which — like every web host — automatically processes technical request data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL in order to deliver the page and to protect against abuse. We do not use this for analytics or profiling, and we do not combine it with anything else. Our host processes it as our service provider under its own security and privacy terms.
8. Retention, deletion and your choices
Because your content stays on your device, you control its lifetime:
- Delete one book — press and hold it in your library and choose Delete. The story and its illustrations are removed from the device.
- Clear recent photos — Settings → Photo Privacy → Clear Recent Photos. This clears the reuse history; photos already saved inside a book are removed by deleting that book.
- Remove everything — delete the Wickabee app. iOS removes the app’s entire storage, including all books, photos and preferences.
- Withdraw consent — since the app requires no consent to collect data, there is nothing to withdraw. To stop AI processing, turn off Apple Intelligence in iOS Settings or delete the app.
We retain no copy of any of it, so deletion on your device is final and cannot be undone by us. If your only copy is lost, we cannot restore it. Retention of support emails is described in section 6.
9. Your rights
United States. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights to know, access, correct, delete and port personal information a business holds about them, and to opt out of sale, sharing and targeted advertising. We hold no personal information about app users, we do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising, so in practice there is nothing for us to disclose or delete. You may still submit a request to the address below and we will respond as the law requires, including by confirming that we hold no information about you. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.
United Kingdom and European Economic Area. Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our lawful basis for processing the limited technical data described in section 7 is our legitimate interest in delivering and securing the website, and for support email it is our legitimate interest in responding to you. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to complain to your supervisory authority. Note that Apple, not Internal Cast LLC, is the party processing Apple Intelligence requests.
10. Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, for a material change, note it in the app’s release notes. We do not have your contact details, so we cannot notify you directly.
