Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of the Wickabee app and this website. Wickabee is free, and it creates stories and pictures automatically. Section 5 explains what that means for what you should expect, and Sections 9 to 11 limit our liability. Please read them.

1. Accepting these Terms
By downloading, installing or using Wickabee, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use Wickabee. We may update these Terms as described in Section 15.
2. Who may use Wickabee
Wickabee is intended for use by adults — parents, guardians, relatives, teachers and other grown-ups — who create books for children. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to agree to these Terms.
Children may of course enjoy the finished books. But the app is designed to be operated by an adult, and if you let a child use it you remain responsible for their use and for supervising what they see. By using Wickabee you confirm that you have the authority to enter details and photographs of any child you include in a story.
3. Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Wickabee on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with Apple’s App Store Terms of Service and these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense or create derivative works of the app, except to the extent those restrictions are prohibited by applicable law.
4. The books you create
Your books are yours. We claim no ownership of the names, photographs, themes or other inputs you provide, or of the stories and illustrations produced from them. We never receive them, so we could not use them even if we wanted to. You are free to print, share and keep the books you make, including for your family and as gifts.
Because generated content is produced by an automated system and similar prompts can produce similar results, we make no representation that any output is unique or that it is protectable by copyright. Copyright law in the United States and elsewhere is still developing on the protectability of AI-generated material. If you intend to use output commercially, take your own advice on that.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any photograph you supply, including the right to use the likeness of any person in it.
Generated pictures are built from what you supply and from Apple’s models, so they can contain or resemble material someone else owns — a logo or a cartoon character printed on clothing in the photo you provided, for instance, or a scene that resembles an existing work. We never see the output and cannot detect this. Before you print a book, post it, or share it beyond your own family, satisfy yourself that doing so infringes nobody’s rights. Sharing a book is your act of publication, not ours.
5. AI-generated content — important
Wickabee does not generate anything. We do not operate, train, host, fine-tune or control any AI model, and we run no servers that produce text or images. Every story and every illustration is produced by Apple’s software — the Foundation Models framework and Image Playground — running on your device or on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, under Apple’s own terms and safety systems. Wickabee assembles the request you configure and saves the result you accept. You initiate each generation, and you decide what to keep.
Stories and illustrations in Wickabee are generated automatically by Apple Intelligence. Generated content can be inaccurate, unexpected, odd, repetitive, or not what you intended. It may not match your prompt, and it may produce a scene, a phrase or an image you would not have chosen.
Wickabee screens the words you enter before they reach the model, and Apple applies its own safety systems to what comes back. These measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee that every result is appropriate for every child, every family or every age.
You must review each story and each illustration before sharing it with a child. The app is built so that you create and read the book first. We do not review generated content, and we are not responsible for it.
Generated content is not advice of any kind. It is fiction produced by a statistical model and should not be relied upon as factual, educational, medical, psychological or developmental guidance.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Wickabee to create, or attempt to create, material that:
- Sexualizes, endangers, exploits or abuses a child in any way
- Is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, hateful or discriminatory
- Depicts a real, identifiable person without the right to do so
- Infringes anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights
- Attempts to defeat, bypass or probe the app’s or Apple’s content safety measures
Because we operate no servers and receive no content, we cannot monitor or moderate what you make, and we do not. Compliance is your responsibility. Apple’s own safety systems and terms apply independently of ours.
7. Apple services and device requirements
Wickabee depends entirely on features provided by Apple, including Apple Intelligence, the Foundation Models framework and Image Playground. It works only on devices and in regions where Apple makes those features available, and only while they remain available to you.
We do not control those services. Apple may change, restrict, degrade or discontinue them, change their device or region requirements, or change their output, at any time and without notice to us. If Apple changes or withdraws these features, some or all of Wickabee may stop working, and we will have no liability for that. Device requirements are described on our home page and on Apple’s own pages, and can change.
8. Our intellectual property
The Wickabee name, logo, app design, interface, artwork, text and code are owned by Internal Cast LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms give you no right to use our name or branding. Apple, Apple Intelligence, Image Playground, iPhone, iPad and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc., used here only to describe compatibility and function; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Wickabee is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Internal Cast LLC disclaims all warranties, express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free; that any defect will be corrected; that generated content will be accurate, appropriate, original or suitable for any child or purpose; or that your data on your device will not be lost. You are responsible for keeping backups of anything you value.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you. In that case such warranties are limited to the minimum period and extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Internal Cast LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of books or stories, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, or emotional distress, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, Wickabee or any generated content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, statute or any other legal theory, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to Wickabee will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the app — which is zero — or fifty United States dollars (US$50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Internal Cast LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees and agents from any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: your use of Wickabee; content you create with it; any photograph or personal detail you supply, including of a child or other person; your breach of these Terms; or your violation of any law or of anyone’s rights.
12. Termination
You may stop using Wickabee at any time by deleting the app, which also deletes your library from the device. We may suspend or discontinue the app, or any part of it, at any time. Sections 4, 5 and 8 through 15 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and by applicable United States federal law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Except where prohibited, you and Internal Cast LLC agree that any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Wyoming, and both parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, this Section does not deprive you of that right or of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
Before filing any claim, please contact us at team@internalcast.com. Most issues can be resolved that way, and we would rather fix a problem than argue about it.
14. Apple-required terms
The following applies because Wickabee is distributed through the App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Internal Cast LLC only, not with Apple. Internal Cast LLC, not Apple, is solely responsible for Wickabee and its content.
- Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services for Wickabee.
- If Wickabee fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (which is zero). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Wickabee.
- Internal Cast LLC, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to Wickabee, including product liability claims, any claim that it fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Internal Cast LLC, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that Wickabee infringes that party’s intellectual property rights.
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.
15. Notices and complaints
We operate no servers and host no user content: every book exists only on the device of the person who made it, so there is nothing on our systems for us to remove. If you believe something created with Wickabee infringes your rights, or you need to serve a legal notice, write to team@internalcast.com with enough detail to identify the material and the right you assert. We will respond appropriately, which may include tightening the app’s filters or the instructions it sends to Apple’s models.
Concerns about the app itself, including the safety of something it produced, go to the same address — tell us what you entered and what came back, and please do not attach the image. Complaints about Apple’s models or Image Playground belong with Apple, which provides reporting controls inside its own interfaces.
16. General
Changes. We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will note it in the app’s release notes. Continuing to use Wickabee after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about Wickabee.
